——Enhancing Security in Semiconductor Development and Design Services in Alignment with SEMI Cybersecurity Requirements——
KeyXentic Inc. (HQ: Taipei City, Taiwan; CEO: Sean Hung; hereinafter "KeyXentic"), a leader in information security services, in collaboration with its Japanese distributor, Net Peace Inc. (HQ: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuki Furudate; hereinafter "Net Peace"), is pleased to announce that NSW Inc. (HQ: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Shoji Tada; hereinafter "NSW"), a prominent Japanese IT solution provider, officially adopted the "Keyper" Enterprise Identity and Access Management (E-IAM) platform on January 16, 2026.
Keyper will serve as the core security foundation for NSW's semiconductor development environments and design services. This adoption significantly strengthens identity authentication and access management, enabling NSW to meet the stringent cybersecurity requirements of the global semiconductor industry.

System Architecture
■ Background
The semiconductor industry operates within a complex, multi-layered supply chain involving design, manufacturing, equipment, materials, and outsourcing. Beyond high-value physical assets, the industry handles critical Intellectual Property (IP), such as design data.
In this environment, traditional password-centric authentication and software-based Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) are no longer sufficient to combat sophisticated threats like identity impersonation and credential theft. International security guidelines and industry trends have made it clear that single-factor and password-dependent systems have reached their limits.
Notably, SEMI (Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International) emphasizes the importance of supply-chain-wide cybersecurity rather than focusing on individual enterprises. Key requirements now include anti-impersonation capabilities, hardware-based authentication, and the advancement of identity and access management based on Zero Trust architecture.
In response to these specific environmental challenges and high security demands, NSW has selected KeyXentic's E-IAM platform, Keyper, as its new authentication foundation.
■ Strategic Positioning of the Collaboration
The Keyper platform aligns with the core cybersecurity requirements emphasized by the semiconductor industry and SEMI through the following features:
・FIDO-Compliant (UAF/Hardware Token): Authentication designed with phishing resistance as a prerequisite.
・Hardware-Based Encryption: Ensuring private keys never leave the device.
・Zero Trust Architecture: Access control based on the principle of least privilege and continuous verification.
These technical advantages provide a robust solution against credential-theft-based attacks, a long-standing concern in semiconductor development and manufacturing environments.
■ Alignment with Global Cybersecurity Standards
By implementing Keyper, NSW can expand its services across sectors that require compliance with rigorous international guidelines:
○Semiconductor Sector:
Protects high-value IP and manufacturing know-how across the supply chain.
・SEMI E169 / E187 / E188:
These standards emphasize trust foundations based on public-key cryptography, impersonation prevention, and cross-supply-chain security. Keyper strengthens identity and access management in direct alignment with these requirements.
○Defense & Government Sectors:
Meets the "Phishing-Resistant MFA" requirements central to the U.S. government’s Zero Trust strategy.
・NIST SP 800-63B:Requires hardware-based, phishing-resistant authentication for government systems.
・OMB M-22-09:Mandates phishing-resistant MFA for federal agencies.
・DoD Zero Trust Strategy:Positions Identity as a core pillar of Zero Trust.
○Financial Services (Banking, Securities, Insurance):
Addresses account takeover and fraudulent transfers with "Phishing-Resistant High-Assurance Identity Verification."
・FSA Cybersecurity Guidelines (Japan): Section 2.3.1 requires strengthened authentication and access management, including least privilege and strict management of privileged accounts via MFA.
Recent supplements identify Passkeys and PKI as specific examples of phishing-resistant, strong identity verification.
○Healthcare & Life Sciences:
Ensures traceability and identity assurance ("who accessed what and when").
・FDA 21 CFR Part 11(USA):Identity verification and authority management for electronic records.
・Guidelines for the Safety Management of Medical Information Systems (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan)
○Global Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Logistics, Critical Infrastructure):
Within the overall supply chain, including business partners and outsourced contractors, the fact that "a single vulnerable account can escalate into a systemic security risk" has become a widely recognized challenge.
・NIST SP 800-161:Highlights the critical importance of robust access management throughout the entire supply chain to prevent "weak accounts" from becoming systemic risks.
○ISO/International Standards:
・ISO/IEC 27001 / ISO/IEC 27002:Standards for user identification and preventing unauthorized access.
・ISO/IEC 62443(Industrial/OT):Guidelines for high-strength authentication and identity management in IT/OT environments.
■ Partner Endorsements
Sean Hung, CEO of KeyXentic Inc., stated: "The partnership with NSW is a major milestone for KeyXentic. In the semiconductor industry, where security requirements are exceptionally high, KeyXentic is proud to be the first Taiwanese identity governance brand verified by the Japanese market. This adoption proves our technical capability to meet international standards for identity recognition and management. We look forward to working closely with NSW to build a safer and more trusted technical defense for the industry."
Yuki Furudate, Representative Director of Net Peace Inc., stated: "We sincerely welcome NSW’s adoption of Keyper as the first company in Japan to implement this E-IAM framework. Centered on FIDO-compliant, passwordless MFA, Keyper empowers enterprises to enhance anti-impersonation and Zero Trust access management. By removing password dependency, NSW can significantly reduce inherent security risks. We are confident that combining NSW’s deep technical expertise with Keyper’s performance will deliver highly secure and reliable services to sectors with the most demanding security needs."
